Resources

Here are some resources that may provide helpful information related to both disability and mental health. To be clear, this is not sponsored in any way, but I thought it could be of use to my readers. Please note, as I am based in the UK, a lot of the resources will reflect that. The region is stated in brackets () before the link. I am frequently adding new resources so if you do not see anything that is useful to you please check back later. You can also contact me by emailing disabelliety@gmail.com if you have any resource suggestions (if you want you can be acknowledged on here for your contribution or can remain anonymous). You can also contact me at the same address if you would like to request that a resource/link be removed. If this is the case, I  will do so as soon as possible. Links are arranged by type and then by region, or where all links are from the same region, alphabetical order.

Links with an embedded hyperlink (shown as here) open in a new window.

I am also working on creating my own resources so please check back soon!

Before browsing the below please consider the following disclaimer:

I am not sponsored or affiliated with these resources/organisations in any way. I cannot accept responsibility for the content of these sites, they are completely separate from my blog. While I have researched to the best of my ability, everyone is different and I cannot comment on their suitability nor have I engaged personally with all of these resources. I am not medically trained in any way and these resources are purely for informational purposes. I recognise that blindness/visual impairment and deafness/hearing loss may not equate. They are grouped together for the sole purposes of not compromising the post text size, in the interests of accessibility. Currently there are more resources for Cerebral Palsy than others, this is because I am personally affected by this so my posts may centre on it but I wanted to acknowledge there are many other conditions/disabilities. Again, I have not personally engaged with all of these organisations and cannot guarantee their usefulness. This is not an exhaustive list - I am unable to cover every disability/condition and organisation/resource.
